This programme introduces students to the foundational principles, technical terminology, and theoretical frameworks of the classical discipline concerned with the study of Prophetic narrations (Ulum al-Hadith).
Centred on Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani’s Nuzhat al-Nazar, the course examines the classification of hadith, narrator evaluation, transmission structures, and the methodological systems developed by scholars for the critical analysis of reports.
Through guided study and applied textual analysis, students develop the conceptual and analytical tools required to engage with hadith literature at an academic level.
